One of the Regular meetings of the Coordinating Council of Poltava

Poltava Regional Council session of the Regional Coordinating Council on monitoring of the CBA project (Phase II) implementation in Poltava region took place on January 29, 2013.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Vladimir Onishchenko, First Deputy of Poltava Regional Council, the members of the Coordinating Council, Project Coordinators, heads of rayon administrations and rayon councils of 11 rayons in which the CBA project is being implemented and by representatives of the rayon community resource centers.

The main topics for discussion were: the implementation of the second phase of the CBA project in 2012, the state of implementation of the project in participating areas. Also the questions of the implementation of the second phase of the CBA project in 2013 were raised, such as: replication component, energy efficiency component, state of preparatory work for the implementation of replication and energy efficiency components as well as the question on project financing in 2013.

The challenges that arise during the project implementation were also discussed as well as different suggestions for their solution. The great interest was demonstrated to the issue of implementation and financing of the projects related to innovations with alternative energy sources which is planned in 2013. The communities of the selected rayons have already submitted their proposals and waiting for results and approval.

Mr. Vladimir Onishchenko, First Deputy of Poltava Regional Council announced that the Management of Regional Council and Administration believes it is important to establish effective cooperation in micro-project implementation between the executive authorities, local governments and communities. He underlined that the priority of projects is determined by the community as a result of the mobilization of large numbers of people in solving crucial needs in their life, and assured participants in further support such projects from regional budget.
