08 August 2011 the Selection Committee at Poltava region had selected rayons to participate in the second phase of the Project "Community Based Approach on Local Development" (CBA Project).

The commission included the Deputy Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration Elena Adamovich, Deputy Head of the Poltava Regional Council Vladimir Marchenko, UNDP Senior Programme Manager Oksana Remiga, International Project Manager of CBA project Jaysingh Sah.

As a result, the selection was identified eight main rayons that will participate in the project: Semenov, Kobelyaksky, Chutovsky, Hadiach, Poltava, Kotelevsky, Zenkovsky Lohvitsky.

Also identified four rayons of backup in case the replacement of rayon in list of backup rayon: Novosanzharsky, Velikobagachkovsky, Kremenchug, Karlivsky.
