On 18 August 2011 the First Deputy Head of the RDA Mr. Pavliuk announced the results of the competitive selection of rayons of the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast for the participation in the second stage of the CBA Project during the next four years.
The competition was announced on 15 July 2011 during the regional seminar-presentation of the Project. The Partnership Agreement was signed between Ivano-Frankivsk OC, ODA and UNDP in the frame of the second phase of the CBA project.
All 14 rayons of the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast sent their applications to the central office of the Project. The evaluation of rayons has been made on two basic criteria: social and economical indexes and motivation for using of development methodology with communities involving.
9 rayons were selected: Kalusky, Tysmenytsky, Gorodenkivsky, Kosivsky, Rogatynsky, Galytsky, Kolomiysky, Tlumatsky and Dolynsky. 3 more rayons were included into reserve: Rozhniativsky, Sniatynsky and Verhovynsky. 5 projects will be selected in each rayon on the competitive basis. Micro-projects of the communities will be co-financed by the Project (50%, up to USD 10.000), by the local budget (45%) and by the community (5%).
Priority spheres for the support of public initiatives are:
- health protection;
- energy efficiency;
- environment;
- communal water supply;
- support of small business.
