Step 4. Self-organization of population in communities and training for their leaders

As it was indicated previously, upon result of the first meetings and dialogs decisions were taken on acceptance of the CBA methodology and self-organization of active population with conducting of special training seminars for their leaders.  It resulted in signing 16 Partnership Agreements with rural and village councils during October 2011. Upon results of the first dialogs community organizations were formed, and those, which were working in the first phase, continued their work.

As of 01 December 2011 these 36 COs included 5596 members (2569 – main and 3027 associated), that represented 36 community’s territories. During October–November 2011 trainings for these the activists (191) of the communities were organized with visiting of leading communities.
