Training for Oblast Implementation Units Teams

On 3-4 September training for Oblast Implementation Units teams of joint EU/UNDP Community Based Approach to Local Development (CBA) Project was held. Participants of the training included 46 coordinators from all 25 regional offices of the CBA Project that will be oblast community resource centres in future.

Held jointly with the project Consumers Community and Civ il Society Organization the training was aimed at giving OIU teams an idea of Consumer Rights Protection and at discussing possibilities of 2 projects activities coordination.

Moreover, regional coordinators shared efficient experience of the Project initiatives implementation in respective oblasts, so far as preparatory stage of rayon and village councils selection is completed in 5 oblasts, work with communities has already been launched. The team and representatives from central office discussed also the strategy and plans for the future.

UNDP Deputy Resident Representative Joanna Kazana-Wisniowiecka greeted participants. Specialists from central office of the CBA Project, Manager of the Project Consumers Community and Civ il Society Organization Klavdiya Maksimenko and Project expert Denys Poltavets were the trainers.

During the training its participants mentioned expediency of such meetings, so far as experience exchange and efforts coordination facilitate the aim of extensive community based initiatives implementation.
