Within the framework of the EU assistance programme in Ukraine, a competition of energy saving projects will be held. The projects will be financed by European Union.
NB: This competition is not related to EU/ UNDP Community Based Approach to Local Development Project.
General conditions of the competition:
- EU will finance energy-saving projects realized in small towns
- Grant winners will be selected on competitive terms in line with the EU procurement legislation
Amount of financing:
- € 50,000 – 200,000
- 50-80% of allowable costs
Project proposals objects:
- Project proposals should be aimed at energy saving, namely repair/ reconstruction/ renovation of power-consuming public utilities at the local councils’ risk.
- Project proposal objects should belong to either the local community or the local council.
- When selecting project proposal objects one should take into account terms of the project realization, namely 24 months after winning a grant.
Potential candidates:
- small towns belonging to rayon councils or
- non-governmental, non-profit organizations, namely:
- non-governmental organizations
- associations of citizens
- trade unions
- organizations that represent economical and social interests
- organizations favoring effective management
- local organizations
- organizations of consumers
- female and youth organizations
- any non-governmental associations and free foundations
Terms of participation:
Candidates must submit their applications in partnership with:
- local councils with non-governmental participants
- non-governmental participants with local councils
