Monday, 26 October 2009 On 23 October 2009 a delegation of more than 30 representatives from local communities of 8 rayons in Cherkaska oblast that participate in Community Based Approach to Local Development (CBA) Project,
the Project coordinators, and specialsts form Oblast Council visited Pereyaslavsky rayon, Kyivska oblast. Local communities from Kyivska oblast started to cooperate with the Project earlier than
communities from Cherkaska oblast, and, thus, they have certain results from its realization to share with their neighbours. Read more... Wednesday, 14 October 2009 Kharkiv, 14 October - First completed micro-project was inaugurated in Kharkivska oblast: a school bus was procured for pupils from Hohine and Prykilotne villages, Velykoburlutsky rayon. At its first
general meeting, community of Prykolotnyanska village council identfied transportation of pupils and pre-school children as a priority problem. Hohine village that belongs to the same village council
is situated far from the urban village. Read more... Wednesday, 30 September 2009 On 24 September repaired secondary comprehensive school was officially inaugurated in Banivka village Bolhradsky rayon. Community of Banivka village defined several problems to solve. And the first
and the most pressing problem was energy conservation in the local school through replacement of windows and doors. After approval of MPP the CBA project transferred its 50% share, while 45% was

In particular, it made amendments and additions
to the Programme of social and economic development of Khersonska oblast in 2009 in the articles related to co-financing of micro-project proposals of community organizations from Skadovsky,
Holoprystansky, Velykolepetysky, Hornostaivsky, Velykopilsky rayons from the oblast budget realized in frames of joint EU/UNDP Community Based Approach to Local Development Project. The decision was
preceded by a long consideration of the question by Oblast State Admnistration and its departments, standing commissions from Oblast Council. The discussion resulted in selection of 12 objects of
social sphere that cannot receive respective share from local village/ rayon budgets till the end of 2009. Read more... Tuesday, 21 July 2009 On 21 July Oblast Coordination council held a meeting in Sumy with the participation of the CBA management. The meeting was headed by the head of Oblast State Administration Mykola Lavryk and head of
Oblast Council Volodymyr Tokar. Agenda of the meeting included the question of the progress in realization of community micro-projects in Sumska oblast. As of today, 14 grant agreement have been
signed in Sumska oblast that make provisions for financing initiatives of local communities to improve living conditions in their settlements. Several communities have already managed to hold tenders
