Joint EU/UNDP Community Based Approach to Local Development (CBA) Project continues its activities in Sumska oblast. On 19 August 35 village councils from 7 rayons (5 VC per each rayon) have been selected to participate in the CBA Project. 20 more village councils are put in reserve.

Verkhovna Rada of Autonomous Republic of Crimea, ARC Governmrnt and UNDP have selected 20 local councils of Kirovsky, Krasnohvardijsky, Pervomaisky and Sovetsky rayons for participation in Community Based Approach to Local Development (CBA) Project, which was announced by Information department of UNDP Crimea Integration and Development Programme (CIDP).

CBA reaches community level

On 25 June 2008 the list of rayons from Ternopilska oblast that are participating in the Community Based Approach to Local Development (CBA) Project was approved. The ranked applicants were discussed in meetings held in CBA Project central office in Kyiv. Participants of the meeting included Project management from UNDP and Ternopilska oblast implementation unit, representatives from oblast state administration and oblast council.

According to the Agreement, the Parties will cooperate in order to work out mechanisms for participatory decision making and mobilizing resources to finance community-based projects aimed at social integration, recovery and sustainable development.

Participants of the meeting included Project management from UNDP and Vinnytska oblast implementation unit, representatives from oblast state administration and oblast council.

On 13 June 2008 the list of rayons from Kyivska oblast that are participating in the Community Based Approach to Local Development (CBA) Project was approved. The ranked applicants were discussed in meetings held in CBA Project central office in Kyiv. Participants of the meeting included Project management from UNDP and Kyivska oblast implementation unit, representatives from oblast state administration.

On 03 June 2008 the list of rayons from Ivano-Frankivska, Sumska, and Chernihivska oblasts that are participating in the Community Based Approach to Local Development (CBA) Project was approved. The ranked applicants were discussed in meetings held in CBA Project central office in Kyiv. Participants of the meeting included Project management from UNDP and Vinnytska oblast implementation unit, representatives from oblast state administration.
