The first community of CBA project in Ternopilsky region accomplidshed its micro-project “School Bus”and invited UNDP and EC Delegation leadership to visit the inauguration ceremony.

Partnership Agreement between UNDP/CBA Project and community organization Mriya (Buimerska village council) to implement the project School Bus of Buimer Village was signed

first local community project was inaugurated in Krasna Polyana Village of Krasnohvardiysky rayon, ARC. The project was completed in the framework of EU/ UNDP Community Based Approach to Local Development (CBA) Project and consisted in overhaul and purchase of new equipment for local outpatient clinic. This community project was funded by EU/UNDP CBA Project, co-financed from local budget and the community contribution. The community invited representatives from local authorities, Verkhovna Rada of ARC, Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and UNDP Managers to attend the inauguration ceremony.

On 15, April in the Antoniny village of Khmelnytska oblast, the first project opening was held when the school bus purchased within the framework of EU/UNDP CBA Project was handed over to Antoninsky  educational district of  Krasilivsky rayon.

On 2 April 2009 the first meeting of oblast CBA Project Steering committee was held.

On 6 April 2009 the selection committee assessed 24 applications of the 2^nd round participants of all-Ukrainian competition EveryDrop Matters held by UNDP Ukraine and trademark Bonakva, and determined the winners.

 Training Effective Organization Management for representatives of Gorodyshchenky rayon was held by EU/UNDP CBA Project.

On 25 March 2009 the opening ceremony of the first local community project, implemented in the framework of all-Ukrainian EU/UNDP CBA Project, was held in Severynivka village Zhmerynsky rayon Vinnytska oblast. Senior program manager Oksana Remiga, acting Head of Zhmerinska Rayon Council Yuriy Danylyuk, village head of Severynivka village Olexander Khrystyuk and representatives of the community that implemented the micro-project participated in the ceremony.

On 13 March 2009 the first meeting of the Steering Committee was held in Zaporizhya.

On 6 March the first meeting of the CBA Oblast Steering Committee was held. Deputy head of Sumska Oblast State Administration Oleksandr Zupro, head of Oblast State Administration Economy Department Oleksandr Sitak, head of Oblast State Administration Finance Department Valentyna Zvyntarna, deputy heads re economy problems of Okhtyrska, Velykopysarivska, Trostyanetska, Yampilska, Seredynobudska, Krasnopilska, Lypovodolynska, and Burynska Rayon State Adminstrations, representatives of Rayon Councils , heads of Village Councils, where the Project is being implemented, and CBA Community Development Assistants in Sumska oblast participated in the meeting.
